Question of The Day

During a campaign event in California, one Democratic Senator had this to say…

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Who would make such a statement? None other than the man who would have been The Man, Sen. John Kerry. So here is the question of the day:

What causes a U.S. Senator to make such a statement?

I believe he thought he was saying something “pro-troops”, but his own arrogance was revealed…he was saying “hey, if you are smart and study hard you get to avoid joining the military. If not, then the job you are left with is as a soldier. And we, the educated, have the responsibility to the lazy and dumb soldier to look for his well-being since he can’t/won’t. We have to get him out of Iraq because it is a bad place.” That is my take. Please share yours.
